Whole-Home WiFi

W hen a client reached out, he was at his wits' end. Internet performance in his home was not just frustrating—it was unworkable. Speeds were slow, dropouts were frequent, and no provider seemed able to offer a solution that actually delivered. Despite years of trying, he remained sceptical, having heard empty promises before. 

The home had:

• A landline connection that was sluggish and unreliable.
• An AirBand service that was faster, yet unstable.
• Patchy WiFi coverage across the main house, garage flat, and holiday accommodation.
• A tangle of undocumented cabling from a previous renovation.
• A critical need for reliable remote working capabilities—especially for the client’s daughter, who frequently visited from London.

We began with a half-day assessment, testing and mapping the existing infrastructure. From there, we developed a solution that would provide reliable, high-speed internet throughout the entire property:

• Starlink was chosen for its fast, low-latency satellite service. We discreetly mounted the antenna on the garage to maintain clear sky visibility while keeping it out of sight. 
• Existing ducting under the driveway allowed us to hardwire from the garage back to the central wiring cupboard, ensuring robust distribution.
• A redundancy-enabled router was installed to manage all three internet sources, dynamically selecting the best available and failing over instantly if one went down. 
• A whole-home WiFi system was deployed, providing seamless coverage to the house, garage flat, and holiday accommodation with consistently strong signal and performance.

The transformation was immediate and impressive. The client was overjoyed—not only with the performance, but with how practical and elegant the solution turned out to be. 

"Even my daughter from London will come down for long weekends now as she is able to work remotely, reliably with this new setup you've installed," he said. 

"Not only is it far more reliable, but we can work and stream Netflix without any issues at all. Absolutely fantastic!"
